Softball Program for Kids (Ages 5-17)

We offer a fun and engaging softball program for kids aged 5 to 17. Our season includes a 12-14 game schedule with games on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Weekend tournaments are available at the discretion of the coach and team. We participate in the Scenic City Softball League, with games held around Chattanooga and North Georgia.

Age Groups:

• 5/6
• 7/8
• 9/10
• 11/13 
• 14/17

Fees:

• $100.00 (includes jersey, pants, socks, and belt)

Game Schedule:

• Two games per week at 6:15 PM or 7:30 PM

Practice Schedule:

• Practices start the week of March 10
• Practice times: 6:00 PM or 7:15 PM
• Limited practices once the season starts, with Wednesday nights available for additional practice

Equipment:

• Players/parents need to provide a glove, cleats, helmet with face mask
• Bats are optional (can be shared or purchased)

East Ridge Parks and Rec are always welcoming volunteer coaches. We look for passionate people, who know the game, respect the game, and willing to give back to the kids. It starts with you in order to have a successful season.

We offer Softball to kids ages 5 through 17 years old. Age is as of January 1st, 2026. The age division you play in for Fall will be the age group you play in the Spring. We will play 12-14 game schedule with games on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  Tournaments are offered on the weekends to enter and that is up to the coach and the team. We play in the Scenic City Softball league and will play games around the Chattanooga and North Georgia area.

Softball Age Groups: 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/13, 14/17. 

Fee: $85.00 Includes Jersey, Belt, Socks, and D-Bat Partnership.

Teams will play 2 games during the week. 6:15 PM or 7:30 PM.

Practice should start around the week of August 18.  Practice times are 6:00 pm and 7:15pm.  Once season has started, practices are limited. We will offer Wednesday night for any team that would like to practice as that will be the only time we have fields open.

Softball players/parents are to provide a glove, cleats, and a helmet with face mask. Bats are optional as other kids may have one to share. If you want your own, then we suggest you buy it. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.

We are still looking for volunteer coaches! All ages! If you volunteer to coach with us, you get a free registration for your kid! If interested, email Carson Harris @ charris@eastridgetn.gov.

Coaches Meeting will be Tuesday, August 12th. Time TBD.
