East Ridge Fall Baseball & Softball

Players will play in the age group they would play in Spring of 2020

Baseball/Tee-ball: age as of May 1st, 2020 is the age in which you will play.

Softball: age as of Jan.1st 2020 is the age in which you will play.

Ages offered: 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and *13/14 (*Softball only. No Baseball in this age group).

Fall sign ups July  13, 20 and 27at the East Ridge Community Center from 10am-2pm

Baseball includes: Hat and T-shirt   Cost 65.00

Softball Includes: T-Shirt and Visor    Cost 65.00

Baseball players need a belt, glove, helmet, bat, pants, and cleats. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.

Softball players need cleats, pants, a belt, glove, helmet w/facemask, bat, faceguard (for players while in the field).

Tee-ball ages 3&4 includes: Hat and T-shirt.   Cost 35.00

Tee-ball players will need a bat, helmet, pants, and glove.

Practice will start around the 2nd week in Aug.  That is up to coaches on how many times they practice each week. Once season has started we play games and do not have practice times open.

Season for Tee-ball, baseball and softball will start Tuesday Sept. 3rd

Season will go through Oct. 24th

Tee-ball, baseball and softball teams will play around 10 games for the fall season.  We will also play teams from around the Chattanooga area, not just at Camp Jordan.

We use Rainedout.com for field closures.

Softball cost is $90.00 per player

East Ridge Softball provides a Shirt, pants,belt, socks. Parents/guardians are to provide, cleats, glove, helmet w/facemask, bat, faceguard (for players while in the field) and if necessary, shin pads. 

Tee-ball ages 3&4 will start in the middle of April-June. Shirt, pants, and hat.

Signups will be through February and then we will draft players up into teams.

Practice should start around the first week or second week in March.  That is up to coaches on how many times they practice each week. Once season has started we play games and do not have practice times open.

ER Boy’s Pre-season tournament is March 14-19

ER Girl’s Early Bird tournament is April 5-8

Season opener will be April 1st at Camp Jordan.

Baseball season will end around May 11,with our end of the season tournament to follow on May 13th

Softball will end around May 14 with the end of the season tournament at TBA on May 16-23

 Baseball and softball teams will play around 12 to 15 games for the season.  We will also play teams from around the area just not at Camp Jordan.

Softball program info

The City of East Ridge Parks and Recreation Softball program is open to players 5 thru 16 years old. The 5-8 year old divisions are coach pitch and the 9-16 divisions are competitive kid pitch. The age group determination cut-off date is January 1 of the current year. Participants may play up a division, but may not play down.

Spring teams are drafted in Early March. (ages 5-16) and practices begin shortly thereafter. The season starts in early April and concludes in May. Teams play approximately 14 games scheduled all days with the exception of Wednesday and Sunday. Teams typically play two or three games per week. Weeknight games begin at 6:00 and 7:30 PM, while weekend games can begin as early as 9:00 AM. Pre-season tournament games will be played on Wednesday and Sunday’s.

East Ridge Parks and Recreation Softball plays Scenic City Softball with other area leagues throughout Hamilton County.

The City of East Ridge provides a jersey, matching shorts and socks. Players/parents need to provide a glove, batting helmet with a face mask, bat, and cleats. These items may be purchased at any local sporting goods retailer.
