East Ridge Spring Baseball/Softball/Tee ball -Coaches are needed

Baseball/Tee ball: age as of May 1st, 2021 is the age in which you will play. Ages 4-12.
Softball: age as of Jan. 1st, 2021 is the age in which you will play. Ages 5-16.

Baseball includes: Jersey, pants, hat. Cost:90.00 per player.
East Ridge Baseball (ages 5-12) provides a Jersey, pants, cap, & belt. Tee ball-Jersey, Pants and Hat.
Players/parents are to provide a glove, helmet, bat, & cleats. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.
East Ridge Softball (ages 5-16) provides a Shirt, pants, belt, socks. Parents/guardians are to provide, cleats, glove, helmet w/facemask, bat, faceguard (for players while in the field) and if necessary, shin pads.
Tee-ball age 4 will play from the middle of April-June. Includes Jersey, pants, and hat.
Players/parents are to provide a glove, helmet, bat, & cleats. These items may be purchased at any local sports retailer.
Practice should start around the first week of March. Practice times are 6pm and 7:15pm.
That is up to coaches on how many times they practice each week. Once season has started, we play games. We will offer Wednesday night for any team that would like to practice as that will be the only time, we have fields open. Games days Mon, Tues, and Thurs. Some Saturday games.
Season start time for baseball is March 22nd.
Season will go through May 18th.
ER Boys and Girls Mid-season tournament is April 10th and 11th. Each team works gates/brings food for umpires
Season will run March – May.
Baseball season will end around May 12th with our end of the season tournament to follow on May 14th.
Softball will end around May 14 with the end of the season tournament at TBA on May 16-22nd
Baseball and softball teams will play around 14 games for the season. We will also play teams from around the area. Not just at Camp Jordan.

The City of East Ridge recreational baseball program is open to players ages 4 thru 14. Teeball (4), 5-6, 7-8 year old divisions are coach pitch. The 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 divisions are player pitch. The age group determination cut-off date is (Age prior to May 1st) of the current year. Participants may play up a division, but may not play down.
Spring 2021 teams are drafted in early March (ages 5-12) and practices begin shortly thereafter. The season begins in early March and concludes in May. Teams play a schedule of approximately 12 games. Games are scheduled to be played every day with the exception of Wednesday. Teams typically play two or three games per week. Weekday games begin at 6:00 & 7:30 PM, while weekend games can begin as early as 9:00 AM.
City of East Ridge provides a shirt, cap and pants. Players/parents are to provide a glove, helmet, bat, and cleats. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.
The 13/14 year old division does not begin play until mid-May after the conclusion of the middle school baseball season. You may; however, sign your child up for 13/14 year old play during our open registration beginning in late January (check our home for exact dates & times). You may also obtain a registration form from the Community Center during the months of April & early May. This division will play approximately half of their games at Camp Jordan, while the other half will be played at other parks around Hamilton County.
