Fall 2020 Baseball info and sign up link

East Ridge Fall Baseball -Coaches are needed

Baseball: age as of May 1st, 2020 is the age in which you will play.

Ages offered: 5/6, 7/8, 9/10,  and 11/12.

All players will play in the age they just played in this past spring.

Baseball includes: Hat and T-shirt Cost 65.00

Baseball players need a belt, glove, helmet, bat, pants, and cleats. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.

Practice will start around the 2nd week in Aug.  Practice times are in the evenings at 6:00 or 7:20pm. Practice times are chosen by the coaches. This will also be game times. Once season has started, Wednesday nights will be the only night we have open for practice.

Season start time for baseball will be Tuesday Sept. 1st

Season will go through Oct. 29th

Baseball and softball teams will play around 10-12 games for the fall season.  We will also play teams from around the Chattanooga area, not just at Camp Jordan.

We use www.eastridgeparksandrec.com for field closures.

2020 Baseball/Tee-ball

ER Baseball provides a Shirt, pants, cap, & belt for ages 5-12. 

 Players/parents are to provide a glove, helmet, bat, & cleats. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.

ER Softball provides a Shirt, pants, belt, socks. Parents/guardians are to provide, cleats, glove, helmet w/facemask, bat, faceguard (for players while in the field) and if necessary, shin pads. 

Tee-ball ages 3&4 Includes Shirt, pants, and hat.

Players/parents are to provide a glove, helmet, bat, & cleats. These items may be purchased at any local sports retailer.

Summer sign ups through June 8th.   Games will start on June 15th

We will play a 10-game season.

Practice time are 6pm and 7:15pm. That is up to coaches on how many times they practice each week.

Baseball program info

The City of East Ridge recreational baseball program is open to players ages 4 thru 14. Teeball (3-4), 5-6, 7-8 year old divisions are coach pitch. The 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 divisions are player pitch. The age group determination cut-off date is (Age prior to May 1st) of the current year. Participants may play up a division, but may not play down.

Spring  2021 teams are drafted in early March (ages 5-12) and practices begin shortly thereafter. The season begins in early April and concludes in May. Teams play a schedule of approximately 14 games. Games are scheduled to be played every day with the exception of Weds. & Sun. Teams typically play two or three games per week. Weekday games begin at 6:00 & 7:30 PM, while weekend games can begin as early as 9:00 AM.

City of East Ridge provides a shirt, cap, pants and belt. Players/parents are to provide a glove, helmet, bat, and cleats. These items may be purchased at any local retailer.

The 13/14 year old division does not begin play until mid-May after the conclusion of the middle school baseball season. You may; however, sign your child up for 13/14 year old play during our open registration beginning in late January (check our home for exact dates & times). You may also obtain a registration form from the Community Center during the months of April & early May. This division will play approximately half of their games at Camp Jordan, while the other half will be played at other parks around Hamilton County.
